Ben Rudkin

Black Belt (2024)
Resident black belt and club chairman Ben Rudkin boasts over 20-years grappling experience.
Ben has competed in MMA, Gi and Nogi competitions, winning and medalling at every belt rank, and was crowned British Masters Gi Brown Belt Champion in 2023.
Over this lengthy time in the sport, Ben has acquired a vast amount of grappling knowledge and an ability to provide important attention to detail.

Nathan Moor

Rank: Brown Belt (2021)
Nath achieved his Jiu Jitsu brown belt in 2021 after what has been essentially a lifetime in martial arts, coming into the sport as an already decorated karate black belt in his own right.
His experience has taken him training around the world where he learnt a variety of skills in mma, striking and grappling before turning his attention solely to jiu jitsu.
Originally (and still) a Gi technician, Nath has developed an intense pressure and robust skillset in all aspects of grappling, which translate to any gym or competition environment.

Doug Dinan

Rank: Purple Belt (2023)
With 6-years intensive grappling experience, Doug was awarded his long over-due purple belt in 2023.
Coming into Jiu Jitsu with a rugby background, Doug quickly adapted these skills into becoming a grappling force, winning a number of high-level grappling matches and securing gold at some of the most prestigious tournaments in the UK, including ADCC.
Doug has impressively adopted a ‘small mans game’ in a big man's body and demonstrates that heavyweights very much can and should seek technical proficiency.

keegan ferreday

Rank: Purple Belt (2022)
An active competitor with an impressive track-record in sub-only matches and tournaments alike.
Keegan spent a great deal of his youth training and competing in the Gi but, at this time, in Judo before moving onto amateur boxing and eventually finding his way back to grappling.
Keegan brings a fast pace and imaginative style of grappling, implementing and teaching a variety of styles and techniques.

Shaun Pepperell

Rank: Purple Belt (2022)
A former paratrooper with lifelong experience in health and fitness, ‘Peps’ has been developing beginners in sport well before he stepped onto the mats.
Achieving his purple belt in 2022, Shaun has been teaching beginners and fundamentals Jiu Jitsu classes since he first received his blue belt nearly 3 years prior.
Now an experienced grappler, Shaun looks to introduce our newer members to the sport through demonstrating concepts and positional awareness, which translates well into improving specific techniques.

Anthony Simkins

Rank: Purple Belt (2022)
Since beginning Jiu Jitsu in around 2019, Ant has been consistently challenging himself in competition in as many categories as he could enter, including against grapplers more than half his age!
This experience has developed him into a well-rounded, knowledgeable grappler with both the offensive and defensive abilities required to progress in the sport.
Alongside Peps, Ant has been a long-time beginners coach, passing on his experience through teaching the fundamentals class and always willing to go the extra mile for our newer members.

Explanation: filter Function: The filter option in the datepicker plugin allows you to provide a function that determines whether a specific date should be enabled. The function receives the date as a parameter and should return true for valid dates and false for invalid ones. Day Mapping: The getDay() method of the Date object is used to get the day of the week (0 for Sunday through 6 for Saturday). Allowed Days: The code checks if the day is between 1 (Monday) and 4 (Thursday). Only these days are allowed. This will ensure that users can only pick dates that fall on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, while all other dates will be disabled.
